- Coming off a win last week at the Insperity Invitational AJGA Junior Championship hosted by Patrick Reed, Noah Goodwin of Corinth, Texas, carded a 4-under-par 68 in the first round of the KPMG Stacy Lewis Junior All-Star Invitational to take a two-stroke lead in the Boys Division. Goodwin, 15, looks to use his first-round lead to help capture his third AJGA career victory. Ranked 84th in the Polo Golf Rankings, Goodwin also won the 2014 Evitt Foundation RTC Junior All-Star with a tournament-total score of 13-under-par 200.
- The top five in the Girls Division all finished within three strokes of each other to keep a tight race atop the leaderboard. Sadie Englemann of Austin, Texas, and Hailee Cooper of Montgomery, Texas, each carded a 1-under-par 71 to tie for the lead. In third is Gina Kim of Chapel Hill, N.C., at even-par 72. Calista Reyes of (Philippines) San Diego and Erica Shepherd of Greenwood, Indiana, both carded a 2-over-par 74 and are tied for fourth place.
- In case you missed it, Stacy Lewis hosted a Q&A Monday and more than 200 guests were treated to stories, insights and advice from the No. 3 player in the Rolex Rankings.
