Conducted by the American Junior Golf Association, the Preseason Junior at Nemacolin was a 36-hole stroke play competition played on the Links Course at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. The event featured 66 boys and 18 girls, ages 12-18, from 12 states and Ecuador. The Nemacolin Woodlands is a resort with endless opportunities of activities for all ages, making this event much more than just a golf tournament.
Much more than a place to stay
Nemacolin Woodlands Resort is one of only six resorts in the world awarded with both Forbes-Mobil Five Star accreditation and AAA Five Diamond ratings for both lodging and dining. The hotel features a fine dining experience influenced by European cuisine. In addition to the resort experience, the hotel is the clubhouse on the 18th green of the Mystic Rock golf course, which was host of the PGA TOUR 84 Lumber Classic from 2003 to 2006.

Much more than golf
Apart from two 18-hole courses, the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort features a variety of fun activities. To mention some, the 2,800 acres facility has a 335-room resort, spa, shooting academy, off-road driving academy, ski area, ropes course, climbing wall, mini golf, mountain biking and hiking trails, equestrian center, wildlife experience zoo, Lady Luck Casino, as well as a 3,900-foot airstrip providing convenient access for private planes. The newest addition to the resort is a 3,000 foot dueling zip line, called the Fat Bird SuperFlyer, which can reach speeds as high as 60 mph. The resort constantly continues to establish itself as one of the region’s leaders in outdoor adventures.

Much more rules
