EAGLE EYE
Players involved with the tournament are taking advantage of the extra distance they have received on their drives from the dry Texas grass, illustrated by the 14 eagles that have been seen through the first two rounds.
PLAYING LOCAL
Being the first tournament at the Timarron Country Club, a couple of the locals decided to partake. Timarron Country Club members include Matt GIlchrest, Corbin Kasten, Mason Greenberg, and Jon Yabarra. Members of the nearby Trophy Club Country Club also decided to join in the fun, with Tyler Hazlewood, Ben Fernandez, Adrianna Morillo, and Maddy Rayner participating.
YOUG COURSE
Made private in 1999, the Timarron Country Club has made a name for itself in the short time that it has been around, and according to their website, was named to The Best of Private Clubs list in Avid Golfer magazine. Currently the course is being transformed via a multi-million dollar construction project that plans to add more modern and spacious areas in the clubhouse.
