Pleasant Locals…
Playing in the AJGA Junior at Ruby Hill this week in Pleasanton, Calif., were five local young men all attending and playing for the same high school in Pleasanton. Alec Bommarito, Troy Maxoutopoulis, Hussain Ali, Zachary Smith, and Sam Richardson are all on the Amador Valley High School golf team and all competed this week at Ruby Hill Golf Club. Along with the showing from Amador Valley, the local rivals at Foothill High School in Pleasanton also had several representatives in attendance, including Ryan Maund, Tanner Hughes, Roshan Chekuri, and Patrick Fracisco.

This week’s tournament in the bay area was host to three of the furthest travelling AJGA competitors. Andrew Paisley of Kamuela, Hawaii, Kacie Komoto of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Zachary Braunthal of Honolulu, Hawaii all made the 2,400 mile trip to the mainland for the AJGA Junior at Ruby Hill.
King Solomon
Jacob Solomon, locally of Dublin, Calif., has won his second AJGA tournament, and his second in a row. Solomon won the AJGA Junior All-Star at Gainey Ranch two weeks ago and came back closer to home even stronger. He won the AJGA Junior at Ruby Hill by four strokes.
