David Toms - Ranked No. 31 in the world, PGA Tour player, David Toms, alongside LPGA Player Meredith Duncan, took time out of his busy schedule to do a Q&A session with the tournament players. Toms, an AJGA alumnus, answered questions regarding the life of a professional golfer, what his favorite part of the tour was, and how to become a better player. Born and raised in Louisiana and a graduate of Louisiana State University, Toms’ foundation provides opportunities for at-risk boys and girls, and is designed to enhance a child’s character, self-esteem, and career possibilities.

Like father, like son – Cristian DiMarco, son of PGA Tour player Chris DiMarco, played in the tournament alongside Toms’ son, Carter. The two players were paired in the same final round group, looking very similar to their fathers when they played together in the 2006 Ryder cup.
Local boy wins it all – Shreveport resident and member of the Southern Trace Country Club, Eric Ricard, took home the Boys Division hardware, beating the next best player by six strokes. Ricard, who just two weeks ago made it to the third round of the U.S. Junior Amateur, has verbally committed to play golf for Louisiana State University and is currently a rising-senior in high school.
